well thise are my inspirations source so, I want do something that really have an melancholic feeling or something you will never forget.. just like these pictures are never forgotten.. and let me tell you I personally think its art.. there have been discussion of Sally Mann's picture is pornographic and attracts pedophiles, and I think these pictures are is both art and pornographic for people who doesn't look beyond the norms and social controls.. it's impossible for them to look at these pictures as art there for Sally is not to blame.. she just looks beyond that and think it as art.. well this for today and hoped you liked those.. ;)
Mary Ellen Mark...
Nan Goldin..
Sally Mann..
And last lets not forget.. Klavdij Sluban

Yes the winter is here and I'm all cosy ;)
Well finally there is the white cold snow, I've been waiting for! I'm hoping that this years Christmas, can be a truly White Christmas. Then Bing Crosby's song will make sense ;). The day has been really long and cold so the first thing I thought about was, that I should be out skiing but really I didn't want to. I was very exhausted from the day before so I decided that I rather have a classical movie day. I mean what other is there to do? inside a almost empty house.. I'm just now taking a break to collect my thoughts and movies reviews. Well we should beging with the top five movies I've and I'm watching the fift right now after the break.
The movie is a precious film to me, because while it's one of the first books I ever read, the movie also one of the first movies I rememer from the childhood. This movie and Mary Poppins (1964) were my favorite movies. Well them and all of the disney I watched as a child. But these are classics, my mother read the book, when she was younger and my father once told me, he remembered some of the movies trailers. It also contains one of the legendary songs ever written. The song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" sunged by the legendary Judy Garland nr.8 in the top 25 of the greastest female stars in the history of American cinema. The song is just as much remembered by any adult today as any of the kids of the modern time can remember of Disney songs from "The Lion King", "Aladdin", " Hercules", " The little Mermaid", "Wall-E", "The Incredibles" and so on. This movie is definitely recommended to watch at any time and place. It's definitely a movie which will cheer, you up after a lousy day or a hard break up.
For those who doesn't know who the Liza Minelli is. Well Liza Minelli is just like her mother an actress and a very popular singer. Some say she got lucky to inherited her mothers voice and just like her mother she grew up among actress, studios and the tv. Judy Garland was a child star and turned into a international star and in many ways Liza reminds me of her mother. Though Liza first apearence on tv was her mothers talk show " The Judy Garland show" at the age of 18. She grew up and knew she wanted to be a singer, and she sanged with her mother, Barbara Streisand, Mickey Rooney, Peggy Lee and Frank Sinata. I really like this movie because she did not only won an Oscar for the lead role.. but also because she had a shit life after her mothers dead of an overdose.. and the movie really reveals her mature process she's been though.. She really showed her emotions and that she could really act. Not to forget she sang heavently in this movie too. I liked the story board and the style reflects to the modern day. Its a must to see movie. It's a classic and you get she her in her best condition and days.. Way to go Liza.
I LOVE GRETA GARBO! no really she is one my favorite actresses of all time. She is ranked nr. 5 of the top 25 of the greastest female stars in the history of American cinema. She is an inspiration for me. She was one of the women to start the female fight against labels. She was right from the start of her glory days different in the way she posed herself. I think she was one of the first females ever to walk in pants and tuxes. Hollywood called her the tom-boy actress. There has also been rumors that she had a or more lesbian affairs over the years but who cares!? She was so much like the modern women today, some say she was before her time, she wanted wanted things that only can be seen in the 21.century. She wanted rights for the women, the right to walk in whatever clothes they wanted go in, she was as much a individuelt woman then, as we are today. The movie is just one of the old time classics love story where you will watch her performance as a real academy winner actress. I simply love this move because she appeared so much as a woman as ever in this movie. So if you are a sucker for GREATA GARBO, then for f**** sake watch it.
This is the movie anyone should see, and before they die. This is the nr. 1 movie.. ranked nr. 1 on the greatest movies of all times. Gone with the wind or in danish "Borte med blæsten" is my favorite movie. This has everything, drama, lovestory, melodrama, real story line, history, costumes and EVERYTHING! The story is about a girl named Scarlett O'hara and she is of rich parents and you follow her though the movie from a snotty teenage girl that has an unrequited love for a man,Ashley, she can never have, but never gives up on, and to her change caused by the meeting of the handsome and very cocky Rhett Butler. It's is a must see movie and if you not gonna watch it then I will personally kill you myself! now go out and buy it at the nearest movie store. GO!
I think really should go now or I miss the candy and the final movie because it a long one, and I love to be done today so I will keep on writing later.

Nr.4
Starring Ole Neuman, Rudi Hansen, Otto Møller Jensen, Peter Malberg, Ib Schønberg og Birgitte Bruun/Price. |
Well this is a Classic danish movie I really don't think any danish person have NOT seen. Not necessary this one but one of the eight originale or the new made with new actors. Personally I don't like the new ones very much. It just ruins the atmosphere of the originals. They were just better in the way the kids and the young still had their innocence. Really I don't want to preach right now about the young generation of the modern times. Too much to discuss. So I really just want to say if you're a foreigners then try to watch it, if you're a danish born then WHAT HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?
And finally Nr. 5
Starring academy winner Vivien leigh and Clark Gable. |
